This week’s revelation that the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has been the subject of an FBI investigation into the animal rights group’s possible ties to terrorism has stunned many liberals. PETA’s general counsel, Jeff Kerr, called the investigation “shocking and outrageous”, saying “it's an abuse of power by the F.B.I. when groups like Greenpeace and PETA are basically being punished for their social activism."
Two things here. First, how is PETA being punished? They’re being investigated. There’ve been no charges. There’ve been no indictments. They’re not being punished at all.
Secondly, and really the broader question: Should PETA be investigated for possible ties to terrorist groups like the Animal Liberation Front and the Earth Liberation Front, two domestic terror groups responsible for a series of arsons, bombings, and other violent acts that have caused hundreds of millions of dollars in property damage? Again, many liberals say no. At the popular lefty website www.dailykos.com, a front page story decried the investigation, saying “Everything that many of us consider moral (taking care of the environment, opposition to the war, freedom to speak our minds, to protest, etc.) is on the FBI's ‘there might be a terrorist connection list.” So what are the chances that the liberals are right? Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the FBI’s files on PETA. I do, however, have an internet connection. Five minutes on Google can get you some pretty interesting information.
Did you know, for example, that PETA gave $1500 to the Earth Liberation Front back in 2001? That would be the same Earth Liberation Front recently described as one of the nation’s top domestic terror threats. According to the Center for Consumer Freedom, this “gift” (acknowledged in PETA’s end of the year tax return) is the only public donation the Earth Liberation Front has received.
PETA’s tax returns show some other interesting payments as well. A $2,000 payment to a David Wilson, at the time a spokesman for the Animal Liberation Front. A $5,000 payment to Joshua Harper, a self-described anarchist who faces terrorism charges for smoke bombing an insurance company with ties to a medical research firm. Harper, incidentally, denies being a terrorist. He did tell the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, however, that he has a spark of hope “"a spark of hope in every broken window, every torched police car and every mink running free as their hearts desire." He also says his ultimate goal is the “complete collapse of industrial civilization”.
Harper’s not the only animal rights extremist with a gift for eloquence. How about this quote from… well, let me wait to tell you who actually said this.
“I think it would be a great thing if, you know, all of these fast-food outlets and these slaughterhouses and these laboratories and the banks that fund them exploded tomorrow. I think it's perfectly appropriate for people to take bricks and toss them through the windows, and you know everything else along the line. Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it.”
Maybe it’s just me, but that sounds an awful lot like an endorsement of violence.
But PETA’s non-violent, so that quote couldn’t have come from one of its leaders, right? Wrong. Those are the words of Bruce Friedrich, PETA’s Director of Vegan Outreach. But hey, this is just one guy. Surely this attitude isn’t common at PETA, right? Well, here’s another quote, this time from PETA’s head, Ingrid Newkirk.
“We are complete press sluts.”
Whoops. Wrong quote, although she did say that in the New Yorker magazine back in 2003. This is the quote I was looking for.
“I will be the last person to condemn ALF.”
She’s right. PETA doesn’t condemn the Animal Liberation Front. In fact, Newkirk has written a gushing biography of the terrorist group entitled “Free the Animals”. She’s provided financial support for the ALF publication No Compromise. PETA has, over the years, compared ALF to the French Resistance, called the terrorist group the “army of the kind”, and has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to the defense funds of ALF members charged with crimes.
In fact, Newkirk herself ended up as a footnote in the trial of Rodney Coronado, an ALF member convicted of firebombing a laboratory at Michigan State University. Newkirk received two packages from Coronado, one the day before the bombing, the other shortly afterwards. The second package was actually intercepted by the FBI. Inside the package were documents stolen from the lab. U.S. Attorney Michael Dettmer said Newkirk had “arranged to have the package[s] delivered to her days before the MSU arson occurred.”
Again, you don’t need to have a top secret clearance to learn these things. You just need to do some digging on the internet. After learning these facts, I’m not “shocked and appalled” that the FBI is investigating a possible tie between PETA and eco-terrorists. I’d be shocked and appalled if the government wasn’t looking into PETA.
I’ve been fortunate enough to write a few columns on the animal rights extremists for Townhall.com, and after every one I always get a few emails from people criticizing me for writing about these organizations. They’d rather I highlight the positive stories of animal lovers, of which there are many. I’ll make these folks a deal. As soon as I start seeing some of these animal lovers renounce PETA, ALF, and others who condone violent terrorist actions, I’ll write a nice story about an animal lover. If not, I’ve got a great story in the pipeline about a number of animal rights extremists recently arrested in New Jersey, including one guy facing charges of “making a terrorist threat”. The peaceful, nonviolent activists strike again.

Friday Funnies and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Here's a funny little tid-bit I picked up somewhere, from an anonymous source:
The Classic Version:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool,
and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is
warm and well fed. The shivering grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he
dies out in the cold.
THE END
*****************************************************************************
The PC Version
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his
house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a
fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the
ant is warm and well fed.
The shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why
the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others less
fortunate, like him, are cold and starving.
The BBC shows up to provide live coverage of the shivering grasshopper;
with cuts to a video of the ant in his comfortable warm home with a table
laden with food.
Britons are stunned that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper
is allowed to suffer so while others have plenty.
The Labour Party, Greenpeace and The Grasshopper Council of GB demonstrate
in front of the ant's house. The BBC, interrupting a Jamaican cultural
festival special from Notting Hill with breaking news, broadcasts them
singing "We Shall Overcome"
Ken Livingstone rants in an interview with Trevor McDonald that the ant has
gotten rich off the backs of grasshoppers, and calls for an immediate tax
hike on the ant to make him pay his "fair share".
In response to polls, the Labour Government drafts the Economic Equity and
Grasshopper Anti Discrimination Act, retroactive to the beginning of the
summer.
The ant's taxes are reassessed, and he is also fined for failing to hire
grasshoppers as helpers.
Without enough money to pay both the fine and his newly imposed retroactive
taxes, the government repossesses his home.
The ant moves to Spain, and starts a successful wine-exporting company.
A Panorama special later shows the now fat grasshopper finishing up the
last of the ant's food, though Spring is still months away, while the
council house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house,
crumbles around him because he hasn't bothered to maintain it.
Inadequate government funding is blamed, Trevor Phillips is appointed to
head a commission of enquiry that will cost £10,000,000.
The grasshopper is soon dead of a drug overdose, the Daily Mirror blames it
on the obvious failure of government to address the root causes of despair
arising from social inequity.
The abandoned house is taken over by a gang of immigrant spiders, praised
by the government for enriching Britain's multicultural diversity, who
promptly set up a marijuana plantation and terrorizee the community.
THE END

The Grinch Principal

Being of Scottish ancestry, this one hits close to home.
From Fox News-"Nathan Warmack wanted to honor his heritage by wearing a Scottish kilt to his high school dance. Then a principal told him to change into a pair of pants."
WTF!!!!!
The principal also allegedly went on to say:"Well, this is my dance, and I'm not going to have students coming into it looking like clowns."
Look Mr. Principal. If the guy had come in wearing a friggin' sequined gown, then maybe, since it's not a drag queen gala, you could have said something. But the Kilt is a traditional part of Scots wardrobe. And he was honoring his ancestry.
"To say the traditional Scottish dress makes you look like a clown is a direct insult to people of Scottish heritage and those who live in Scotland," said Tom Wilson, a Texas commissioner for the Clan Gunn Society of North America, a Scottish heritage organization.
Now, we know of course had this young man shown up wearing a yarmulke or a turban, he'd have been cool, no problemo, eh?
Two huge lumps of Coal for Principal McClard of Jackson,MO.

Reggie Bush
The San Francisco 49ers, need to keep up the good work and lose out through the end. Then maybe then, they get Reggie Bush. The Texans can stick it up their collective cabooses.
One can dream, can't they?
Here's to the dream that San Fran., once the cream of the crop, now lowly pond scum, can rise again.

No one cares about Bin Laden anymore....
One of my most favorite liberals has posed some questions, and I deign to answer.
Here is the post, and beside/below it, my answers. I don't claim to be a god, a political guru, or even perfect, but if you post here, expect a response.
Will the liberal speaketh, (henceforth named WTL):"Actually, the part that still pisses me off is the fact that we had united as a nation and as a world after 9/11 only to have Dubya fuck it up by invading the wrong country."
**** Is that Iraq, Will? Because we went to Afghanistan.... You do know that don't you. And the war we are fighting isn't in only one country, you do know that too, don't you? You seem almost rational at times, so tell me know that one country is not responsible. It's a people, a group of people. The yare legion, and what we have to do to live, to go on, is rout them, where they live, where they play and where they plot.
"I need someone to explain to me why we don't care about Bin Laden anymore. I want someone to explain why we knew Bin Laden, Al Qaida and 14 Saudis were involved in 9/11, but we instead invade Iraq. Not only do we invade Iraq, but it's force-fed down our throats that they'll get us and they're bad people and that's where the terrorists are and that they have all these WMDs that could launch from Baghdad and hit DC at any moment."
******Personally, no one force feeds sh*t down my throat. I listen, I research and I learn. Sorry if you drink Kool-aid, I like beer.
I don't know where you heard that Saddam planned on hitting D.C. at any moment, I never heard that. Or, WTL, is that a piece of typical liberal over reacting?Hmmmm
Let's take this "hypothesis": You have an insane megalomaniac. He runs a country, by killing his own people, even family. He flings threats about. He claims he has WMD, he claims he's going to kill infidels. (That would be you WTL, and me.)Gives money to Palestinian suicide bombers families, for killing innocent civilians. He ignores the U.N. (SO SHOULD WE ALL), and he asks for war. He asks for it. Do we leave this person in power, when he could, COULD, get materials for a dirty bomb in the "right" hands? Where he "could" get to the point where he can actually launch a nuke at D.C.? No, the simple answer is NO. Diplomacy, it doesn't work with the insane, and Saddam, he is insane. Very. Leave the politicians you loathe out of this scenario, you know what I say is true.
No one has forgotten about Bin F*cktard, WTL, we just have so many issues, and a half dead needle in a haystack can't currently be a priority. But do you not think, if in any way possible, that he could get Osama, that Bush wouldn't. Believe me, if he could he would.
"Now there are 87 percent more terrorists in Iraq since we invaded, according to most polls/studies and Bin Laden and his crew are chillin'. Hell, Bush himself even said he doesn't care about Bin Laden anymore."
**** Bush never said: "I don't care about Bin Laden anymore." You find me that exact quote, back it up, and I'll eat my bra for brunch. As for your 87%, back that up please. Did they show stats before hand?
"It's just all so ridiculous. Now you people are all excited about Hussein being out of power and us winning some stupid war when it had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11."
***** "Us people" are excited about democracy spreading in a land of chaos. And, yes, Iraq did have something to do with 9/11...Want to know what that was? Huh, Bush, he's a bad speaker, he can't get it out, I can..... Iraq was a bed of death, hatred, coercion and complete totalitarianism. Now, they have a chance, even civil war is better, though both Shia's and Sunni came together to vote. Son, war is never stupid, it's sad, horrible and scary. But at times necessary. Afghanistan was the start, Iraq, the logical next step....Then, we move to Iran, and then, onward, sorry, but face the facts, it's us or them. That is the rule THEY set, we are only engaging them in self defense.
"I just want the truth. It shouldn't be that hard for our government to shoot straight with the American people."
Oh, dear little WTL, they are POLITICIANS. But, if you want the truth, find it. It's there is you look. Some of it you'll like, and some of it sucks donkey balls, but it's out there. What really sucks, and what it all boils down to, is too many liberals and those on the left don't really, REALLY, want the truth. You want to live in a fantasy land, like 9/10/2001.
Thanks for playing Will. Anytime.

Bush: The speech

Dear old Bush. I do like the guy. He's got chutzpah, as my Jewish friends would say. He picks a fight, and he sticks to it. He has beliefs, and he stands by them. He is strong in the face of daily verbal assaults from the left.
He's not the best public speaker, but last night, his speech was pretty darn good.
Highlights:
1)"This election will not mean the end of violence. But it is the beginning of something new: constitutional democracy at the heart of the Middle East. And this vote-- 6,000 miles away, in a vital region of the world-- means that America has an ally of growing strength in the fight against terror."-GWB
2)"Our Coalition confronted a regime that defied United Nations Security Council Resolutions, violated a cease-fire agreement, sponsored terrorism and possessed, we believed, weapons of mass destruction."-GWB (****Note: His statement, "we believed", yup, we all did. Not just America, everyone else too.)
3)"....it was right to remove Saddam Hussein from power. He was given an ultimatum and he made his choice for war." (**** Note:How true is this? He had how many resolutions he ignored? He was given years to let inspectors back in, and then weeks to choose the "non-war" path, Saddam did not, he ultimately is the one responsible for the war.)
4)"The terrorists do not merely object to American actions in Iraq and elsewhere-- they object to our deepest values and our way of life."-GWB
5)"September 11th, 2001, required us to take every emerging threat to our country seriously, and it shattered the illusion that terrorists attack us only after we provoke them. On that day, we were not in Iraq, we were not in Afghanistan, but the terrorists attacked us anyway-- and killed nearly 3,000 men, women and children in our own country. My conviction comes down to this: We do not create terrorism by fighting the terrorists. We invite terrorism by ignoring them."-GWB (****Note: Put that in your pipe and smoke it.)
6)"Yet there is a difference between honest critics who recognize what is wrong, and defeatists who refuse to see that anything is right."-GWB
7)"I also want to speak to those of you who did not support my decision to send troops to Iraq: I have heard your disagreement, and I know how deeply it is felt. Yet now there are only two options before our country-- victory or defeat. And the need for victory is larger than any president or political party, because the security of our people is in the balance. I don't expect you to support everything I do, but tonight I have a request: Do not give in to despair, and do not give up on this fight for freedom."-GWB
Not bad..... Comments...Questions?

Australia, our friends down under....
Those wiley little Australians seem to have gotten themselves in a heap of trouble. And, since they really are our staunchest allies, I feel, that I must put my 4.6 cents in on this one.
Here you have a situation that is seemingly the same as the situation in France. Crazed youthful mobs, rioting, destroying, causing general mayhem.
Except in France, it was immigrants and illegals.
In Australia, it's the people of the country itself, rising up after years of frustration and anger. I kinda understand where they are coming from.
While I do not advocate rioting, ever, as I feel it serves no purpose, can't you see where they are coming from.
People come into your country. They do not respect your culture, your customs, your language. They demand, demand, demand! Money, aid, shelter, housing, an education; they demand it. While many of the countries own people suffer without. They demand that literature be written in their language, at the cost of millions. They clog emergency rooms, skip out on the bill, which you, the citizen eventually pays for. They get angry when you celebrate your customs, your culture. They demand the same rights, yet do nothing to earn them. The scoff at the laws and spit at your feet.
So, one could rationally see why the Australians got fed up and went overboard. I feel a bit like that everyday.
Why is it O.K. for poor immigrants to riot, but not angry citizens? Sure, there are better ways to go about getting your point across, but I can understand their anger. I can feel for them at a certain level.
My dear Australians, you are strong people, thank you for your support, you have mine.

That Tookie Guy
Stanley "Tookie" Williams, now 51, was sentenced to death in 1981 after he was found guilty of murdering four people during two separate robberies two years earlier.
Williams has maintained his innocence.
B.S. he killed those 4 clearly, from even the little research I did. And through his starting the Crips, killed another several thousand.
I hope Arnie holds on tight.
And the supposed threat of violence from his supporters. If they truly believed what this "Tookie" supposedly NOW stands for, they would hold peace vigil's instead.Disgusting.

Howard Dean-Scary
Really he is....Scary
He's the chosen spokesman for the Democratic Party and he comes out with crap like this:
"This is the same situation we had in Vietnam."
Notice how I chose that quote rather then the other highly inflammatory quote about our losing the war.
The above quote is more telling; of just how psychotic Mr. Dean is.
This isn't Vietnam. We weren't attacked in our homeland by Viet Kong. They didn't say,"HEY! People of the western world, we are bent on your destruction, and would gladly kill the ever living crap out of you all. If we could get our hands on a nuke, and blow you up, we sure as heck would!"
Nope, way different, Mr. Dean, and if you can't tell the difference, you should find a new job, I heard Wal-Mart was hiring aliens; because you are out of this world.

Pearl Harbor Day-Remember

Barely a blip on the "give a sh*t" radar....64 years ago today, Pearl Harbor was attacked and we were officially brought into WW2.
How quickly we forget the lives lost that horrific day. Please take a moment to remember; hug a vet or thank one at least. I have.

Shots fired in Miami!!!
Wow, so some guy was shot and killed on a flight or right after the flight landed from Columbia that landed in Miami:
www.DrudgeReport.com
In these times, if you are on an airplane and you say,"I have a bomb in my bag!", then run off the plane, and when told to stop by armed air marshals, not only fail to stop, but reach into said bomb filled bag...... Expect to die. Period.
I don't care if he was only kidding and his bag was filled with cherry flavored condoms and a blow up doll. I don't care if he had a panic attack, and just wanted to get off the plane.... There is NO excuse. Expect to die. I would.

More PCBS...
Looks like some kids in Oklahoma City are getting a lump of coal in their stockings after they decorated the town tree with used lottery tickets.
It was supposed to be a nod to the lottery for it's help in raising funds for education. The kids used old lottery tickets, in what I think was a very creative way, to decorate a CHRISTMAS TREE for the capitol. (Awww, I think that's cute, and a good use for old discarded lottery tickets.)
But, the Grinch, one Rep. Randy Terrill, who does not support the lottery, thought the use was "inappropriate". So down comes the tree.
HEY! HEY! HO! HO! This P.C. B*llsh*t's got to go!!!

Ready, Aim, did someone fire?
Pilot Reports 'Missile' Fired at Jetliner Near LAX
(11/28/05)
FBI agents and Homeland Security officials spent the weekend investigating the report of a possible missile fired at an American Airlines plane taking off from Los Angeles International Airport.
Sources tell ABC News the pilot of American Airlines Flight 621, en route to Chicago, radioed air traffic controllers after takeoff from LAX. He told them a missile had been fired at the aircraft and missed.
The plane was over water when the pilot said he saw a smoke trail pass by the cockpit.
FBI agents believe it was a flare or a bottle rocket, but say they may never know if that's what it actually was.
***** I don't know about anyone else, but if the plane was already far enough out, that it was over the water,it wasn't a bottle rocket or a flare.Period.
I heard about this when it happened, but I think it needs closer scrutiny.

Do we really need to know?
Lately it seems that the "peoples" NEED-TO-KNOW!!!, has been getting in the way of reality.
Reality: We are at war.
You may not like the war, you may not agree about how we went to war. Fine. But the simple fact is, we are at war. In Afghanistan, Iraq, and here and there, and everywhere democracy has a stronghold. And it started long before 9/11.
What disturbs me, is when I turn on the news, and they tell me,"We are mounting an offensive in Najib." Or,"We have secret prisons in Europe." How about the daily," People are loosing support for this war." My favorite is when they do stories on the brave homicide bombers families. WTF?????
I can't help but think, that if I were a Muslim extremist, watching the daily news from America would be like watching a comedy show. I mean, we tell them where we are going. We tell them what we are doing. We offer them support, we help them in their plans by showing them ours. Frankly, this seems a bit f*cked up. People need to put their country in front of their politics, it's that simple.
The real question is: Do we really need to know everything?
The only answer is: No.

Defending Christmas
Merry Christmas again folks, for your viewing pleasure I have the e-mail of the day for you:
Fox News,
It came to my attention that Fox News isn't selling Christmas tree ornaments
this year but are instead selling holiday tree ornaments. I find that quite
interesting considering that Fox News pundits (especially Mr. O'Reilly and
Mr. Gibson) have weighed in on the war on Christmas and are uniformly
blasting retailers, school systems, and individuals that are denouncing
Christmas.
It's very disheartening so myself and another popular blogger are launching
a campaign to attempt to motivate you to change the holiday wording to
Christmas wording. We're calling for a boycott of FNC if the wording hasn't
changed by Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 1930 EDT. We've both blogged about
it on our sites and I have writing privileges at two other popular blogs and
have decided to cross-post my article at those blogs as well. The links to
those articles are as follows:

http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/140042.php
http://www.jquinton.com/archives/003162.html
I strongly urge you to have your web development team change the wording at
your Fox News store to reflect the changes we're requesting so that we won't
have to urge our readers to boycott your news channel. You're the number
one name in news for a reason and we respect that. However, we can't
respect the attack on Christmas even from the news channel we prefer to
watch over every other cable news network out there.
Thanks,

I find the P.C.B.S. in this country appalling. Just what "Holiday" do people think we are celebrating? It's CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
