Hi,
I was watching the show last night, and you had a young woman on who was dubbed, "the anti-Sheehan". (Loved it.)She had lost her husband in the W.O.T.
Anyway, Colmes kept trying to get her to answer his question, and she really didn't. I think she was a bit nervous, and wasn't getting what he was asking.
His question was something like,"People that are against the war are entitled to their own opinions, and they should be able to speak out about it. What do you think they should say???"
My answer would have been this; the Cindy/Soros/Code Pink/Moore/Kennedy/Hollywierd group has no real opinions. They are nothing but a hate filled spin machine that take things like our Vice President accidentally shooting someone and make it into a front page story. They could care less about this country, in fact, let's take an informal poll on how many of these people promised us they would leave the country if Bush was re-elected.
These people don't give a flying fig about this country, our well being, or the well being of our soldiers on the front line. It's simple; you cannot support the soldiers if you do not support the W.O.T.
Cindy Sheehan is a prime example of how warped and dysfunctional the left in this country really is. Your anti-Sheehan was right; she has a right to mourn. I'm still waiting for her to actually do that.
When speaking with people from Europe, India, Asia, I keep running across the same thing, they have fed off the liberal media and the loud shouted voices of the left and most have ill feelings towards America.
It usually takes a few moments and a few links in an e-mail to show them the truth. But, with the left hammering away as they do, it’s no wonder worldwide popularity has sunk to new levels.
So, where we should be showing a united face to the world, all they see is Alec Baldwin (bad, bad actor), Michael Moore, and Sean Penn telling them how bad we are, and how much we suck.
Sends a great message. United we stood.
So, my answer to Colmes, really is the old saying. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
