Happy New Year: In Iraq And Everywhere

san diego,fireworks
Join me tonight in The Jungle as I welcome in the New Year in style, or at least crassly and with the sound of cheap American beer being consumed by the keg.

"Iraqis surged into the streets of Baghdad in their thousands Monday to celebrate the New Year, shooting firecrackers and weapons into the cold night sky, playing drums and dancing amid the debris of the war-ravaged capital.

The joyous scenes reflected the upbeat mood of a city struggling to emerge from years of war and turmoil.

"We feel safe on the streets today, that is why we are celebrating," said Hassan Ali, 40, who was out strolling with his wife, three young children and two sisters-in-law."

Good times.

Tonight in the Jungle: Cel-e-bration time! Come On! Call in with your New Years Resolutions! Par-Tay! My year in review and of course my own resolutions! See ya there!
