Republican Congressional Revolt-Guerilla Congress Live Updates!

All right folks looks like the Friday party on the floor is going to continue, let's show them some support!

"On August 1st, the House of Representatives voted to go home for five weeks without passing legislation to address the current energy crisis. All but 2 of 199 Republicans voted against adjournment, but enough Democrats voted yes for the motion to pass by one vote.

In response to the failure of the Democratic House to pass meaningful energy legislation and allow full access to America's petroleum deposits, a half-dozen members of the Republican conference refused to go home even though the microphones and cameras had been turned off. They remained on the House floor, discussing the matter with excited citizens in the Gallery and debating energy policy."

The session is slated to begin today @ 10:00 est or 7:00PST. I will be updating all day.

UPDATED: I found this comment on Politico:
"Let's see, Obamaa's lead is between 0-1%, and Congressional Democrats don't have any coattails to ride on... and their own approval ratings makes Bush look popular. Blocking a vote on drilling that around 60% of the American public supports sounds like a fast way to political suicide. Way to go Democrats... bow down to your crazy environmentalist wing! No drilling, No nukes, No natural gas, No coal... Wind Power and DEMAND lower energy prices! Excellent strategy. This is beginning to feel a lot like 2000... and 2004."

UPDATE: It is RIDICULOUS how the MSM is ignoring this. I watched a small snippet on MSNBC this morning and the "news" lady said,"a couple of Republicans HIJACKED congress Friday." WTF??? Please everyone, this is a great way to mobilize. Blog it, Twitter it, do whatever you have to do. Call your congressman thank him or her for being there. Contact The White House. Make it happen folks!

UPDATE: I heard McCain delivered some Pizza to the revolt folks! Not substantiated, but it's brilliant if he did.
