Kill Bill O'Reilly: Part 2

"The long running war of words between US rappers and hard-right Fox News presenter Bill O'Reilly took a new turn this week with the release of a track calling for O'Reilly's death.

Boston-based indie-rappers East Coast Avengers have caused a major media storm with the track Kill Bill O'Reilly — a groovy little tune that calls for Fox News to be shut down and for the reactionary broadcaster and his family to be executed."

So you all know the story right? But how cool is this:
"Look, it's one thing to dislike someone intensely," complained the takeastandagainstliberals blog(*that's me!). "I intensely loathe Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha. I can't stand them. But I have not, will not and would never write an entire song dedicated to killing them."

If you read the Guardian's take on this, both Jonathan and I are total whiners because we find it pretty fucking offensive to advocate the wholesale slaughter of a TV news personality and his family. Typical Brits*. (*Excluding my husband.)
