Appearing last night at a fundraiser at Bon Jovi's house Obama squealed like a 3rd grade poindexter:
"We're not going to be bullied, we're not going to be smeared, we're not going to be lied about."
Well shiver me timbers....here I was worried he had no balls. It takes balls to come out with a statement like that.
Smeared? Lies? Bullied?
Let's start with bullying.
In regard to the Ayers ad:
"Obama not only aired a response ad to the spot linking him to William Ayers, but he sought to block stations the commercial by warning station managers and asking the Justice Department to intervene. The campaign also planned to compel advertisers to pressure stations that continue to air the anti-Obama commercial." Sounds like Bullying to me. Deny away Barack, but you have defended Ayers as both "respectable" and "mainstream". A man who said, in his own words,""Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon." That's sounds respectable?
How about "lies".
The Obama campaign claims they planned a private trip (no media) to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, but canceled it to prevent the perception of politicizing our troops.
The truth....Maj Gen. Scott Gration (Ret.), a foreign policy adviser to Obama, said the Pentagon told him a visit would be viewed as "a campaign event." When in fact,"the Pentagon said that wasn't true, that Obama was more than welcome to come, it was just that he couldn't bring the media or campaign staff." So he ditched his visit. I mean what's the point if they can't take pictures of him holding wounded warriors hands.
Smears?
"We wish the McCain campaign well as they try to figure out the difference between Iran and al Qaeda," answered Obama spokesman Bill Burton, trying to get the last word. "This fall, John McCain will support George Bush Foreign Policy 101: endless war in Iraq; a policy of not talking to adversaries that has not worked; and a disturbing tendency to conflate very different threats. Barack Obama will offer a clean break from the failed policies of the past."
Sounds pretty smeary to me....Let's SMEAR it.
Obama's is apparently not aware that Iran arms both. This coming from the guy who thinks we have 60 states. And often doesn't even know the name of the one he's in.
Obama has often repeated the "100 years" statement by McCain leaving out the all so crucial part where McCain says,"We’ve been in South Korea … we’ve been in Japan for 60 years. We’ve been in South Korea 50 years or so. That would be fine with me...As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, it's fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."
For Obama and his people to even mention smearS and lies and bullying is in itself almost comical, this coming from the same people who waited 4 days before saying, "Hey now, let's not attack a 17 year old".
