In what was the match of the century, Dick Cheney squared off..sort of, with Barack Obama.
Obama speaking from the National Archives "declared defiantly Thursday that the U.S. "went off course" in fighting terrorism over the past eight years, and said his policies will "better protect" the country against al Qaeda."

Cheney countered with..."The point is not to look backward. A lot rides on our President’s understanding of the security policies that preceded him. And whatever choices he makes concerning the defense of this country, those choices should not be based on slogans and campaign rhetoric, but on a truthful telling of history."

Sorry but Cheney wins. Obama's cry that he will be able to "better protect" our nation when the last administration kept us from being attacked for 7 years is pretty hard to do. How do you do better than preventing all attacks?

I await the cries of FEAR MONGERING from the leftards after Obama stated,"We know that al Qaeda is actively planning to attack us again. We know that this threat will be with us for a long time, and that we must use all elements of our power to defeat it."
