The Guiding Light Ends

I know it has nothing to do with politics, but it has everything to do with an end to an era. A personal one. Right now I am watching the very last episode of the longest running soap opera in history, Guiding Light. The one and only soap opera I have ever watched, followed or cared about.

My mom watched Guiding Light her whole life and I watched it with her. Sure months could go by in the last few years where I wouldn't watch an episode. But like family, they were always there. 35 years I have watched The Guiding Light. And today, with the final episode airing,well, it just makes me sad.

Goodbye Guiding Light it was a good run. I will miss you.
