Ban The American Flag - UPDATED

UPDATED:"When apartment complexes in California and Florida prohibited the flying of flags several years ago, Congress passed and President Bush signed the Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005. The act prohibits a condominium, cooperative or real estate management association from banning the display of the stars and stripes." It's illegal for the association to ban the flying of the American flag, but the apartment manger DID rescind the ban today.

Sick a fork in Oregon, she's done.

"At the Oaks Apartments in Albany, the management can fly their own flag advertising one and two bedroom apartments - but residents have been told they can't fly any flags at all.

Jim Clausen flies the American flag from the back of his motorcycle. He has a son in the military heading back to Iraq, and the flag - he said - is his way of showing support.

But to Oaks Apartment management, Clausen said, the American flag symbolizes problems.

He was told to remove the red, white and blue from both of his rides, or face eviction."

Eviction over an American Flag?

Why were the residents told not to fly Old Glory?
Residents were told,"someone might get offended."

Can someone point out the part of the constitution that says we have a right to not be offended?
