H1N1 PARANOIA- Swine Flu National Emergency

President Barack Obama declared the Swine Flu, or H1N1, a national emergency.

Huh?

According to the CDC,"In the United States, on average 5% to 20% of the population gets the flu; more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from seasonal flu-related complications, and; about 36,000 people die from seasonal flu-related causes."

H1N1, has been around for months on end. "Since the virus began spreading, millions of Americans have been infected, at least 20,000 have been hospitalized and 1,000 have died — including nearly 100 children."

Ummmmm so why the extreme paranoia over this relatively mild flu? Why is Obama pumping this up to be something it clearly, by the numbers, it is not.

For some reason the extreme paranoia over this is creeping me out. Why? It's the flu. Why this push to make it more than it is? Why is the media feeding the hype?
