SHOOTER IS NOT DEAD. He is hospitalized and in stable condition.

Cousin of shooter just stated that Hasan was NOT A CONVERT, WAS ALWAYS MUSLIM. Real name was: Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan. (FoxNews.)

Gov. Rick Perry says there were 3 shooters, one is dead. Confirmed as Malik Hasan. This kind of rules out the theory of the lone stressed out gunman.

He then went on to talk about getting affordable healthcare for this group. And then... Oh yeah, there was a shooting at Ft. Hood today."

KCEN in Waco reported that the second suspect may be holed up in a building on the post.

Greg Schannep, an aide to U.S. Rep. John Carter, told the Austin American-Statesman that he was on the Army post to attend a graduation service. He said that as he neared the entrance of a building where the service was being held, a soldier with blood on his uniform ran past him and said a man was shooting.
