Oil Slick To Hit Louisiana

The oil slick threatening to hit the gulf coast today is massive. Bigger than they thought it was going to be and may be one of the worst environmental disasters since the Exxon Valdez booze cruise incident so long ago.

As a volunteer with Wildlife Rescue years ago, I was charged with cleaning birds and other wildlife effected by a small oil spill in the San Francisco bay years ago. Let me tell you, most of the wildlife died and those we saved, well.... it was by sheer luck and a lot of Dawn liquid soap.

Best of luck to them down there and may they get the worst of it before it hits the shoreline.
