Food Stamps For Restaurants

You can slap lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.

"Some restaurants in San Diego may soon accept the electronic equivalent of foods stamps from select customers.

The Board of Supervisors made San Diego the sixth County in the state to approve such a program.

"It allows people who otherwise can't prepare food in their own home to be able to get some fresh hot and healthy meals in restaurants around San Diego County," said Ron Roberts, San Diego County Supervisor for the Fourth District.

The homeless, disabled and elderly who qualify for the Cal Fresh program would be eligible.

The Cal Fresh program is formerly known as the food stamp program."
ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

1.) Homeless can buy plenty of food at the grocery to eat that does NOT require cooking.
2.) Disabled? Elderly? If they can get to a restaurant...they can nuke a meal.

This makes me furious. I cannot afford to eat out, but welfare folks can? Bullshit.
