MERRY CHRISTMAS

Repeat after me: Merry Christmas. Again, Merry Christmas.

Now, doesn't that feel good. I mean that's what this time of year is all about. I have a friend who likes to say, "Jesus is the reason for the season.". Now, as an atheist, I have to basically agree. Is there some kind of dispute whether or not Jesus existed? I'm pretty sure he did. So Christmas is celebrating his birthday. Yeah! I don't believe he is the son of "god", but I celebrate his birthday just the same.

To me Christmas is celebrating kindness, the basic good found in most of humanity. Sharing with those less fortunate. Singing Christmas carols, eating yummy treats, and quality football programming. (Which was not the case this past weekend).

To the Grinches who wish to banish Christmas from the collective vocabulary of the citizens of this nation, I say BAH HUMBUG!!! When I see you I will not wish you a "Happy Holiday". Nor will I tell you,"Seasons Greetings!"

I will wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS, and you can take that any way you like.
