$700 Billion Bail Out Does NOTHING For Markets

I have likened the bail out plan to a band-aid on a bullet wound from day one. You put the band-aid on the wound and all it does is cover the hole and leaves the bullet inside, festering and rotting until you eventually have to operate, remove the bullet, sew it up and take copious amounts of antibiotics to kill the infection.

Instead of further pushing the American taxpayer into debt, Congress had a golden opportunity to cut worthless social programs, their own paychecks and other odd ball spending.

To the banks, predatory lenders and other financial institutions: FAIL. You cheat, lie and rob, FAIL.
To the homeowners who bought homes they couldn't afford. Tough luck. Try renting.
To the companies who outsourced all their jobs while Americans had to collect unemployment: Shame on you.

This $700 billion pile of craptastic crap has and will do nothing to help the problems we all brought upon ourselves. Do I know the answer right now? No, but this isn't it.

The 700 Billion Dollar Bailout Is Not Enough For Democrats

That's right folks, the proposed 700 billion dollar maximum bailout is not enough for the Leftards.... laws no!

Markets Soar But At What Price?

Whoop dee do. The stock market if flying today, after gaining 400 points yesterday. So news of bailouts clearly helped but....WHO is paying for the bail out? WHO???? That would be me and you fellow taxpayer, me and you. Bollocks.

$4.57 a gallon, for 87 octane gas. $4.57. For "the cheap gas".

What happened to the WAR FOR OIL?

On Friday, the 6th, speculators drove the price of a barrel of crude shot up nearly $11 a barrel Friday and approached $140 for the first time.

Just a few short months ago we were whining like pansies about the possibility of going over $100.00 a barrel.

Americans on the whole are using LESS oil, SUV's are being ditched in favor of smaller hybrid or gas efficient cars. People are walking, riding or taking more public transport. In fact even here on the southern California freeways, people are driving slower.

So why are price going up,up,up????

Beside the obvious reasons like no new refineries for 30+ years, no off-shoring, stockpiling too much in reserves and leaving ANWAR untapped; one of the main reasons we are suddenly paying these exorbitant prices are speculators.

"Excessive speculation on energy trading is the fuel that is driving this runaway train in crude oil prices.

Others testifying said speculation by investment banks, hedge funds, institutional investors and others may be responsible for more than half of the skyrocketing price of crude oil."

Hell we're building a GD fence for the Mexicans in Mexico and we can't even build our own!

Why is it no one in this country knows how to say NO. As in NO, right now we need our money here. NO, last time we gave your asses aid, you bombed us. Or NO, there are American people going to bed hungry tonight, vet's returning from Iraq who go hungry, we need to feed them first.

Black Friday: Pre Dawn Shopping Extravaganza

After having consumed copious amounts of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie....not to mention a shit load of wine and beer, I fell asleep at maybe 8-ish last night, missed CSI dammit. Food coma in the extreme.

So anyway, that meant I was up at about 4am. After walking the four legged love child for a while and reading the newspaper, I was pretty much bored shitless. So what does one do in the pre-dawn hours the day after Thanksgiving. Well folks, apparently everyone goes to the mall.

I arrived at the local Target at exactly 6 o'clock and thought cool...there's no one here....hee hee hee. Yeah they had the line formed to the left. It was a mile long. It took me and the other stragglers a good 20+ minutes to be let in.

And people were spending folks. Oh holy Hops and Barley they were spending like drunken sailors. If this Target was any indication of the spending for this holiday season, then retailers have nothing to worry about. Plus we all know people are buying gift cards out the ass, and they don't "count".

I scored a 19" LCD HDTV with DVD player for $199.00. I got one that someone had left on the jewelry case. Some asshole stole the $25.00 DVD player out of my cart, asshole; may the Grinch lay eggs in your underwear drawer poo poo caca head. But I scored, scored big. In fact other than stocking stuffers, this girl is done shopping for Christmas.

It was fun. And I will do it again next year, if I'm up.
