So.... My husband and I were chillin' on the patio tonight having a beer and talking about our day.

Here in America, we have African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Native Americans, Muslim-Americans....pretty much every hyphenation you can think of.

And as the 4th of July approaches I tend to give my English husband a lot of shit about how we whooped those English bastards and stole the best country in the world.

And he said....,"Ever heard of a hyphenated Englishman".

Holy Hops and Barley.... he was right. As much as I mock Englanistan, has anyone ever heard of a Pakistani-Brit/English dude???? Or a Somali-Enlander? Or a Iraqi-Eglican?

Chris Matthews had his opportunity to offer remembrances of his colleague, Tim Russert, on Countdown with Keith Olbermann last night, and used it to give an anti-war screed. Even worse, he made Russert out to be a dupe bamboozled by the Bush administration while presenting himself as a superior journalist. Just watch it:

Even Keith Olbermann knew better than to go there, changing the subject quickly after Matthews’ rant. He provided a moment of irony later when the two most biased “journalists” on television heralded Russert’s objectivity as if they understood what the word meant. Neither Olbermann or Matthews could carry Russert’s shoes, and Matthews in particular proved why last night.

One might be tempted to give Matthews a pass, as the shock of his friend’s passing had to be hard on him, and one could see the pain. However, Matthews makes clear that he deliberately chose to make this point, leading with, “This might be tricky,” and later saying that he had spent two hours preparing for the delivery of this anecdote. The choice of casting Russert as a dupe within hours of his death was deliberate.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — A war protest in which 179 stop signs were defaced by stenciling the word "war" in white letters under the "stop" has morphed into an exercise in free market capitalism.

A judge ordered that at least some of the defaced stop signs belonged to the people who vandalized them once they paid restitution. Those signs are now being sold — briskly and at a profit — for $80 apiece.

"I really am shocked almost weekly by hearing people tell me, 'Thank you,"' 19-year-old Alexander Piet told the Post Register. "It's really refreshing."

Piet and 20-year-old Craig Bakker vandalized the signs last year, and earlier this year pleaded guilty to misdemeanor vandalism in 7th District Court.

Piet and Bakker were each ordered to pay restitution for 20 signs at $60.86 per sign, adding up to $1,217.20. Both also were ordered to pay a $500 fine, plus $72.50 in court costs.

Piet has paid his restitution and received his 20 signs, and has sold 14 so far for $80 apiece. At that price, if he sells the remaining six, he would recoup $1,600 in all."

Tim Russert has apparently suffered a fatal heart attack.
"Tim Russert, NBC News’ Washington bureau chief and the moderator of “Meet the Press,” died Friday after being stricken at the bureau, NBC News said Friday. He was 58.

Russert was recording voiceovers for Sunday’s “Meet the Press” program when he collapsed, the network said."

On Friday, the 6th, speculators drove the price of a barrel of crude shot up nearly $11 a barrel Friday and approached $140 for the first time.

Just a few short months ago we were whining like pansies about the possibility of going over $100.00 a barrel.

Americans on the whole are using LESS oil, SUV's are being ditched in favor of smaller hybrid or gas efficient cars. People are walking, riding or taking more public transport. In fact even here on the southern California freeways, people are driving slower.

So why are price going up,up,up????

Beside the obvious reasons like no new refineries for 30+ years, no off-shoring, stockpiling too much in reserves and leaving ANWAR untapped; one of the main reasons we are suddenly paying these exorbitant prices are speculators.

"Excessive speculation on energy trading is the fuel that is driving this runaway train in crude oil prices.

Others testifying said speculation by investment banks, hedge funds, institutional investors and others may be responsible for more than half of the skyrocketing price of crude oil."

I have never been so disturbed by a political candidate in my life. Hell, I'd run to the polls and vote for John Kerry with a side of Ted Kennedy if it meant that Barack Obama would be out of the race.

This sickening puppet with the America hating friends, hateful wife and deranged spiritual advisor's reminds me of a character in a book I once read. The book was called The Dead Zone and the author was none other than the seemingly unpatriotic ass wipe Stephen King. Who's books I own; every single one ever written.

In the book, synopsis style....the main character is in a coma for a long time, he comes out with the ability to see the future. He meets this candidate for congress, who is taking the country by storm. This guy is young, he's good looking, he kisses all the right babies and no matter what he does or says.....he is bought: HOOK-LINE-SINKER, by the masses. HE IS A MESSIAH.

Then the main character, Johnny I think it was, meets him at a rally and grabs his hand.... and sees the future.....and it's really, really fucking bad.

I see the future.......................
