Tim Tebow's commercial sponsored by Focus on the Family, involves Tebow's mother's account of how she ignored a doctor's advice to abort her fifth child and how he grew up to be the obviously talented young man he is today. Sounds like a touching, moving and undoubtedly meaningful commercial. CBS agreed to air the ad.

Personally, I like my Super Bowl Commercials with a lot more humor. My favorite's are the Budweiser commercials with Dalmatians and Clydesdale horses.

ManCrunch.com allegedly wanted to run an ad on CBS as well. An ad featuring two men making out. I gather from several news accounts I've read, it looks like ManCrunch.com didn't have the cash for the ad and used the controversy and frothing frenzy from Baby Killing Leftards to generate a little buzz for their man love hook up site. Good for them.

But is CBS being hypocritical? Airing an anti-abortion ad but not a gay dating site ad?

Nope. They can do whatever they want. Get the hell over it. The two are so far apart in the scope of things there is no comparison whatsoever.

Obama Calls For Bipartisanship?

Obama spoke today at a GOP House Republicans' retreat in Baltimore, calling for bipartisanship and actually said, "We’ve got to be careful about what we say about each other."

Mr. President, allow me to help you understand what NOT to do in order to achieve bipartisanship. How to move past the rancor:

1.) Do NOT hold closed door meetings on subjects you want bipartisan support on. And sweetheart deals for scum sucking bottom feeders like....Sen. Landrieu -D Loiusianna or Sen Ben Nelson...I'd skip those.

2.) Squealing "I won!!!" like a 5 year old in response to serious questions, is not suggested either.

3.) Telling those who pose legitimate questions to basically STFU and sit down, not a good plan.

4.) Do NOT create a manufactured war against the one single news entity that DARES to not sit on your lap and beg for a cookie.

5.) Do NOT go on a world tour bowing and scarping to communist dictators.

6.) Do NOT try terrorists in civilian courts like common criminals.

7.) Do NOT call your own citizens teabaggers in a clearly derogatory way. They are after all voters.

8.) And maybe try to hire czars who do NOT call 50% of the country assholes.

Earthquake in Haiti

Having lived through a devastating 7.1 earthquake myself I feel very empathetic to the poor people of Haiti, to all people of Haiti.

That being said, I fail to understand why we are rushing our ships and our MONEY to help them at this time. We have people dying all over the United States due to the deep freeze. We have people in Louisiana still homeless from Katrina. Homeless people sleeping under bushes, kids who go to bed hungry every night. Hardworking Americans who have lost their homes, their jobs, their savings. Soldiers who come home to nothing.

Yet we are going to spend MILLIONS to help another country?

Where's China? How much is China giving in aid? Is China rushing ships and aid to the people of Haiti?

If INDIVIDUALS want to donate to the Red Cross for Haiti, as I will do, then fine. But the Federal government should not be spending our tax dollars on this catastrophe.

President Obama expressed "unwavering support" for the people of Haiti and promised a "swift and coordinated effort".

As horrific as it is, the job of the Federal government is not to take care of the world, it is to take care of America and Americans only.

Republican Or Not Republican

What is it to be a "Republican"? Or is it Conservative? Or Righty? Rightard? Wing nut? Chimpy McHilterburton disciple? Tea Bagger?

Since there are at this time only two VIABLE parties when voting in major elections, let's just use the term Republican. Since this is the name of the party most on the "right" seem to still use.

MY PERSONAL definition of Republican is as follows:

1.) To support limited Federal government. To me this means the Federal Government has 5 jobs: "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity." And only those 5 jobs.

I do not see "buy out failing corporations" on that list. Nor do I see "give Yemen money to train more Al Qaeda fucks". Nor do I see anything about marriage, abortion, trans fats, salt, soda or goat fucking. I do not see "Cadillac Tax", carbon off set or polar bear habitat preservation on this list. I see nothing there about the rights of bastards from OTHER COUNTRIES, nor the rights of those who's sole purpose in life is to royally screw with our common "defence".

2.) To elect to office men or women willing to do those 5 jobs AND ONLY those 5 jobs.

To me PERSONALLY that is what a Republican is.

The Scott Brown Solution

I see victory in 2010 as electing ACTUAL fiscal conservatives to office. Some see victory as electing anything with an R after their name.

Scott Brown is the newest "bright star". I see him being touted on Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo etc, as the next best thing to God. But is he? How many people are actually looking at his stance on the issues. While claiming that "anything is better than a Democrat", I beg to differ. A RINO IS A DEMOCRAT.

Just in case you've been living under a rock, Scott Brown is running in a special election against flaming leftard Martha Coakley for the Massachusetts Senate seat that was vacated by Ted Kennedy when he died.

Scott Brown summed up: Likes Israel, doesn't like Iran. States rights on gay marriage. Vague on abortion, mentions government regulation. Pro 2nd amendment, capital punishment and anti-illegal immigration. No on cap and tax. He's a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard and has worked on many issues dealing with service members. Claims to be a free enterprise advocate.

He makes me a little nervous here, from his own website..."I believe that all Americans deserve health care coverage.....In Massachusetts, I support the 2006 healthcare law that was successful in expanding coverage, but I also recognize that the state must now turn its attention to controlling costs."

So Scott, you were for a program that is now in need of controlling cost? And no Scott, all Americans DON'T deserve health care coverage, it's not a right. It's not in MY copy of the constitution. As for Israel, they've got nukes, we have enough to deal with now, let's leave them to take care of their own.

All in all, the guy seems like a decent candidate and yes he'd kill the Democrat Super Majority, but is he a true conservative? I think he's leaning center on several issues if you look at them. What do you all think? Is Scott Brown the kind of candidate you want in office come November?

Airline Safety And The Terrorist Threat

Well listening to Robert "Sitdownandshutup" Gibbs this morning was so FUN! Apparently, the system worked as it should have -- which is why it failed. Here's Gibbs from the other day saying basically what he repeated today.



Obama is due to speak in about an hour, to give the terrorists a heads up on some new plans for "airline security". He should just make a pamphlet and hand it out by the crate load to Yemen, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and pretty much the rest of the entire Middle East. Or better yet have the TSA post "an internal guide to its airport passenger screening procedures on the Internet in a way that could offer insight into how to sidestep security." Like it did on the 8th of December.....

Here's an idea for airline security....how about leaving Granny Annie and little Billy Joe alone and take a closer look at Abdulla Hussein Abdullahahha. Just a thought.
