So, NBC showed a video of some of our brave men over in Iraq, agreeing with me, that you can't support the troops if you don't support the mission.

So, this prick William Arkin of the Washington Post had this to say:

So, we pay the soldiers a decent wage, take care of their families, provide them with housing and medical care and vast social support systems and ship obscene amenities into the war zone for them, we support them in every possible way, and their attitude is that we should in addition roll over and play dead, defer to the military and the generals and let them fight their war, and give up our rights and responsibilities to speak up because they are above society?

I can imagine some post-9/11 moment, when the American people say enough already with the wars against terrorism and those in the national security establishment feel these same frustrations. In my little parable, those in leadership positions shake their heads that the people don't get it, that they don't understand that the threat from terrorism, while difficult to defeat, demands commitment and sacrifice and is very real because it is so shadowy, that the very survival of the United States is at stake. Those Hoover's and Nixon's will use these kids in uniform as their soldiers. If I weren't the United States, I'd say the story end with a military coup where those in the know, and those with fire in their bellies, save the nation from the people.

But it is the United States and instead this NBC report is just an ugly reminder of the price we pay for a mercenary - oops sorry, volunteer - force that thinks it is doing the dirty work.

When I had left my house, the flight was on time etc. When I got there, they'd cancelled the flight. This was Southwest. Because, everyone I knew was at work and I'd already spent 40 bucks to take a taxi and they rescheduled me for a flight leaving 8 hours later, I had to sit in my boring ass airport for 8 hours, I did walk around outside quite a bit. They gave me 5 bucks in food vouchers, which bought me an orange juice. Was I pissed. Yeah. Did I demand "compensation". No, because LIFE'S A Bitch. But the friggin' Muzzies, anytime this kind of crap happens to them,"IT'S DISCRIMINATION".

While out and about in the blogosphere today, I stumbled across a blog by a Muslim fellow. He was whining about the injustice of all the nasty people who are prejudiced against ALL Muslims for the bad deeds of a "few". (Yeah, right, please visit TROP for some numbers.)

In his haste to find a comparison, he decided to use "Western Women" as his point. He said, that based on "this video" (and it's a video of a fat lazy stereotypical "redneck" woman;) that all American/Western woman were the same. You know he was pulling the "stereotype" logic. 'Cept, I found his argument poorly stated and in fact completely illogical.

My response....

Dear Mr. *****,

Your comparison of prejudice against Muslims using "western women" as an example is not accurate, fair or even close. Let me list a few reasons why your rational is whack.

1) All western women do not look remotely alike. We are of many nationalities,colors and backgrounds. So, it is clear we are all not fat lazy slobs like the woman in your little video. Last time I checked 99.9% of terrorists were Muslim males between the ages of 18 and 45.
2) Last time I checked, hordes of western women were not partaking in violent battles around the world.I know for a fact the MSM would cover that story.
3) Indeed, I know of no case where a western women walked into a falafel shop and killed a mess of innocent civilians. Nor a disco filled with teens or a vacation destination, like say, Bali. Never heard of a group of western women blowing up a U.S. ship or embassies.
4) I know of no western women who have gathered in the streets chanting slogans like "Death to all infidels", "Death to the Zionists". (Well Cindy Sheehan maybe. But IS she really a woman? Dang, all right, the code Pinko's, but again, do they really count??? I don't consider them to be America,I think they all hold honorary citizen ship in Venezuela.)
5) Once again, any cases where 19 western women hijacked 4 planes and used them as bombs, killing thousands of innocents in a few hours? Nope didn't think so.
6) Never did hear about any western women, in the name of their religion sawing off the heads of innocents, or in fact non-innocents.
7) Nor would any western woman be proud of a son or daughter killing themselves and others in the name of some "religion".

I could go on for hours, but I gather at this point you get what I'm saying. 'Eh?

My biggest problem with Muslims in general, beside the fact that I have read and listened to enough of them chant "Death to America" or "Behead those who insult Islam" is the supposed "moderate" Muslim's never ending silence.

See, here in America, when a bunch of sick whack jobs take to the streets chanting inane crap, I'll call 'em on it. No problem.

If I knew there was a house full of dudes with bombs and guns and that they planned on killing some innocents, I'd turn their collective asses in to the authorities. Period.

The little box on the middle left hand side of my T.V. screen.....it say's "Where's their plan". It's a counter....last time it appeared it was @ 40+ minutes. We're now over a day now....Or years if you really think about it.

Yes, I'll not hold my breathe to hear the "plan" from the left. They won the last election on hate. They did not in any way win it on any sort of "plan". Good for Fox for asking them to tow the line.

Tonight I shall live blog yet another speech from our President who desperately needs both a new speech writer and a new set of balls. He seems to have lost his old pair. I have nothing whatsoever better to do. The "fun" begins @9PM ET.

UPDATED!!!: A suspicious device was found Monday at the Port of Miami, according to officials. A bomb squad was on the scene; officers were seen donning explosive suits.
A spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police said the bomb squad has located some sort of instrument that tested positive for C-4 — a type of plastic explosive, reported WSVN-TV. Miami-Dade Police were gathered near Cruise Terminal H of the port.
Pretty sketchy info. So far I've heard a truck in Miami's port is found to be suspicious. The truck was being driven, so far they believe,by an Iraqi. Hiding in the back were two other middle eastern men. I've been hearing they are Lebanese. More here...

3 middle eastern men. Not on a terrorist watch list and in the country legally(weren't most of the 9/1 bombers?). The driver lied about not having anyone with him, and his manifest did not say what was in the truck.

This is a large 18 wheeler truck. They do not know what is in the truck. Bomb squads are moving in.

UPDATED:Driver did not have correct ID, one of the two guys hiding in the back did not have any ID at all. Contents do match the manifest. Wire spools and car parts. Still talking to the driver and the two "passengers". The driver DID claim to be alone. Driver was Iraqi.
