Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

All right folks, just got back from watching Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. First time in years I have been motivated to see an actual Hollyweird film on the big screen, usually opting to watch when it plays for "free" on my cable.

I loved it.

Look if you want a typical movie full of gore, death, deep twisted plot lines and cliffhanging moments of suspense this is not the movie for you. If you rate a movie by how deep it is or bad ass special effects skip it.

If you want to smile a lot, laugh and enjoy a thoroughly delightful film then I highly recommend it. Sure, Jones has aged, 20+ years have gone by. Doesn't make his character less appealing. It is a simple, fun, silly, goofy, good time movie no different than the previous three. Hadn't smiled that much in a long time. Like seeing an old friend. Indiana Jones simply doesn't really age.

On a scale of 1-5, I give Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull a solid 3. Go see it, and enjoy watching a bunch of Russians get bitch slapped.

Hillary Clinton Assassination Remarks

The Obama campaign is going bat crazy over some remarks Hillary Clinton made about Bobby Kennedy being assassinated.

"My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it."

She issued the following apology statement:

I certainly had no intention of that, whatsoever. Dept of Transportation Federal Transit Administration sends:

Recently, there have been local incidents in which military personnel have been verbally assaulted while commuting on the Metro. Uniformed members have been approached by individuals expressing themselves as anti-government, shouting anti-war sentiments, and using racial slurs against minorities.

In one instance, a member was followed onto the platform by an individual who continued to berate her as she exited the
metro station. Thus far, these incidents have occurred in the vicinity of the Reagan National Airport and Eisenhower Ave metro stations on the yellow line, however, military members should be vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times while in mass transit.

Should you be approached by any individuals expressing anti-government/anti-war sentiments, or any other types of direct verbal assault, immediately notify your local police jurisdiction. If riding metro, exit the train at the next stop, distance yourself from the individual, and notify the Metro Transit Police Department.

Here are a few friendly reminders of personal protective measures that can help you to stay safe:

-If possible, do not commute in uniform (military members) -Do not display DoD building passes, "hot cards", or personal identification in open view outside of the workplace -Do not discuss specifics about your occupation to outside solicitors

-Always try to remain in well lit, well populated train cars if traveling via metro -Be vigilant at all times!

Soldier Uses Koran For Target Practice

I am sure after watching hundreds, no thousands of his fellow soldiers and American citizens die at the hands of men, woman and children who use that book as a weapon, he was just releasing some tension. So he shot a Koran, big whoop, in the grand scheme of life it hardly compares to say, 9/11, 3/11 or 7/7, the endless beheadings, honor killings, genital mutilations, roadside bombs, mortar attacks, missile attacks and.....well you get the point.

But the response from the higher ups in the military is what really disturbs me.

Gay Marriage Coming To A State Near You

Yesterday the California SCOTUS, against the will of over 70% of the voting people of this state, overturned the gay marriage ban.

So much for "we the people".

Regardless of how one feels about those in the LBGT community, it is outrageous that the court, 7 men and woman, feel they can out rule 70% of the state's voters, who voted on this issue twice now at great taxpayer expense.

There are pro's and con's from both sides on this issue. But I still maintain that gay marriage should remain the choice of the state and that if you are gay and want to be united with your partner, then have a civil ceremony. I did with my husband as neither of us are religious.

Of course, this could give Fred Phelps a coronary and we can all agree that would be good news.

"A 24-year-old Fox News Channel production assistant was fired this morning for something she said during the red carpet arrivals at the Time 100 Gala last night.

Seriously. They are no longer teaching math, science and writing. Re-create '68 And Domestic Terrorism

On Sunday morning at 1:40 am, a person or persons, detonated several pipe bombs at the courthouse in downtown San Diego.

"A pipe bomb or series of pipe bombs exploded at the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Courthouse downtown early Sunday morning, sending shrapnel into a courtyard and to the eighth floor of a building across the street."

This is the second time in just a couple of weeks that persons unknown have detonated bombs in the county of San Diego. The last was on April 25th at the Fed Ex building.

In New York in March, a pipe bomb was detonated at the recruitment center in Times Square in New York.

In Milwaukee,"A group of Iraq War protesters vandalized the windows at the Army recruitment center on Oakland Avenue near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus..."

"Anti-war and anarchists groups have already attacked military recruiting centers in Washington, D.C., Berkeley, Calif.; Minneapolis, Minn.; Milwaukee, Wis.; Santa Monica, Calif.; Toledo, Ohio; Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Pittsburgh, Penn.; Haverhill, Mass., and New York, N.Y. This is a partial list."

And now we have a group of people based out of Denver called "Re-Create '68", which is hoping to re-create the mayhem and destruction of the '68 riots in Chicago at the DNC in August in Denver.

"The group aims to demand a change from the country's two-party system by making the violence-marred Democratic convention of 1968 "look like a small get together in 2008!" according to its website."

They can claim they just want to peaceably protest and get a message "out", but then maybe they should call themselves "peace protesters". Not "re-create the violence of '68.

Because what happened in '68 was a violent riot. And that the police and people in Denver not taking this seriously, in light of recent actions of these anarchist nut job types as outlined above, is chilling.

The riots happened because the Moonbats did not get their way....will they happen again? And why are they being allowed to plan this type of protest?

And why is Rosanne Barr not in jail? "Barr said she is so committed to repeating the events of 1968 that she's even willing to put up her own money to ensure it comes to pass."

Per Montana's penal code, and California is more harsh:

5-8-104. Incitement to riot. (1) A person commits the offense of incitement to riot if he purposely and knowingly commits an act or engages in conduct that urges other persons to riot. Such act or conduct shall not include the mere oral or written advocacy of ideas or expression of belief which advocacy or expression does not urge the commission of an act of immediate violence.
(2) Except as provided in subsection (3), a person convicted of the offense of incitement to riot shall be fined not to exceed $500 or be imprisoned in the county jail for a term not to exceed 6 months, or both.
(3) A person who commits the offense of incitement to riot while incarcerated at any state adult correctional facility shall be imprisoned for not less than 1 year or more than 5 years.

Folks, it's a crime. Pipe bombing buildings is a crime, incitement and vandalism is a crime. It is TIME we start prosecuting these people for the crimes they commit.

The pipe bomb detonated here in San Diego had shrapnel in it meant to bring about more carnage. Recruitment centers attacked, incitement to riot, violent protests....do we keep letting it go as harmless until people die? Until these people start strapping on suicide belts and taking a few along with them? Do we.
